Postgraduate Studies Division
Postgraduate studies constitute the cornerstone of implementing the institute’s vision in providing academic programs that are in line with scientific development. They are an essential part of the institute’s mission in qualifying and training scientific and medical cadres through postgraduate programs and granting academic certificates. The postgraduate studies department was established at the institute since the institute was founded in (1999-2000). As for the certificates granted by the institute, they are:
A higher diploma (equivalent to a master’s degree) in assisted reproductive technologies, in which graduates of the Faculty of Human Medicine are accepted who have practice or residency in one of the branches of obstetrics and gynecology, urology, or infertility, or who have a higher degree (diploma or higher in these specializations).
A master’s degree in applied embryology, in which graduates of the Faculty of Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or the Faculty of Science, specializing in life sciences, are accepted exclusively, and a doctorate degree in applied clinical reproduction, in which a human doctor holding a master’s degree in applied embryology or a higher diploma equivalent to a master’s degree in assisted reproductive technologies is accepted.
The study plan for the institute's departments in the first preparatory year is based on a theoretical and practical curriculum that focuses on the specialization of each department, in addition to the seminars, symposia and workshops in which the graduate students of the two departments are involved. The study plan also includes summer training in the consulting clinic. In the second research year, the students' research is determined after the institute's professors submit their research plans and they are approved by the scientific committee so that the students can choose the research and supervisor they want. A doctorate in applied clinical reproduction is accepted in which a practicing gynecologist and obstetrician or a urologist holding a master's degree in applied embryology or a higher diploma equivalent to a master's degree in assisted reproductive technologies.
