About her message: Exploring The Impact of Saline and ExEm Foam and Hystrosalpingogram on Pregnancy Rate in Intrauterine

Insemination Cycles

Exploring the effect of saline, eczematous foam, and salpingography on pregnancy rates in intrauterine insemination cycles
Message objective:
This study aimed to prospectively evaluate post-operative pregnancy success in a large, single-center study, involving subfertile females undergoing HyFoSy using contrast media (ExEm® foam) and HyCoSy using saline after intrauterine insemination, and to investigate factors that may be associated with this outcome.
Conclusion: -

  1. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is associated with better pregnancy outcomes in terms of positive pregnancy test results; however, the rate will be further increased with hysterosalpingography with contrast (HyCoSy), but using hysterosalpingography with foam (HyFoSy) will significantly increase the pregnancy rate.
  2. Improving intrauterine insemination (IUI) outcomes with HyFoSy could increase the proportion of couples choosing IUI, a procedure that is relatively less labor-intensive and less expensive compared to both in vitro fertilization (IVF) and in vitro fertilization (ICSI) procedures.
