“Elections are a necessity of the age to build a secure society.”
As part of the University Psychological Counseling Unit's activities for the academic year 2025-2026, the workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Hoda Abdullah Taher, who explained that the electoral system is an essential element in any legal framework, and that the integrity of elections represents the fundamental pillar of political legitimacy, as it gives citizens a real opportunity to question and hold leaders accountable, which contributes to building a stable and secure society. The workshop concluded with a fruitful discussion among the attendees about the importance of enhancing electoral awareness in the university environment and the role of conscious participation in building a society characterized by security and stability.
