Tasks and duties of the department
Implementing the requirements of comprehensive quality approved at Al-Nahrain University and the educational quality management system approved by the institute, departments and administrative units and applying the necessary mechanisms for their implementation. Reports describing academic programs and courses for the postgraduate stage as well as reports on courses and programs at the beginning of each academic year and the institute’s annual reports
Follow up on the preparation and review of academic standards, standard reference standards and various programs in coordination with the scientific departments at the institute.
Follow up on scientific activities: research, conferences, seminars, supervision, discussion, expertise, consultation, and community service for faculty members, and maintain the database.
Reviewing the Institute’s readiness to request accreditation from an external regional and international body. Supervising the distribution and analysis of the results of the student and faculty questionnaire that helps in evaluating the academic programs and courses. Coordinating with the Institute’s departments and recording the data related to the evaluation files and verifying the accuracy of that data, unifying it and returning it to the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department in the University Presidency within the specified timeframes.
The Section Head is a faculty member with experience in the field of quality assurance and university performance. He manages the section and follows up on the implementation of the decisions of the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Council. He is directly linked to the Dean of the Institute. The Section Head is assisted by a number of employees to follow up on the various activities of the section (data entry and statistics, printing books, recording and unifying data related to scientific programs and courses, and student survey results in coordination with departments.
